Did you opened Google today? Then you might notice a blue notification bar about their new privacy policy change ‘Google has updated their terms of service’. Google has made a recent change to its terms and conditions that allow Google to use your name, picture, and comments/reviews posted on Google+, YouTube, Google Play Store to endorse products advertised via Google AdWords.
Google also said that users under 18 will not be included in the policy but for other users, it will be active by default. If you do not want Google to use your profile picutre, name or comments in its ads, you need to opt out from this.
Check the below image, this is how google using your image and reviews in google search results and third part ads.
Steps to opt out of Google shared endorsement
If you don’t want your face and name used by third parties in Google ads, you can turn it off in Google+ dashboard.
1. Sign in to your Google account.
2. Head over to shared endorsement settings page and scroll to bottom.
3. Look for a setting that says “Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads” — uncheck the box next to that setting.
4. Save and there you are!
