A custom Google Plus profile [abbr title=”Uniform Resource Locator”]URL[/abbr] means, it’s a short URL with your name or your company name. The default profile URL is long annoying and set of numbers, definitely this is not easy to remember. So its more difficult to share your Google+ Profile with your friends.
But don’t worry, there are lots of 3rd party tools that lets you create custom URL’s. Remember one thing this is not official. According to Mashable [quote]The reason Google+ doesn’t use vanity URLs is because those could lead to spammers figuring out the email addresses of millions of Google+ users[/quote]
[box type=”tick”]Customize Google Plus URL With GPlus.to [/box]
Head over to your Google Plus profile and copy your profile ID from the URL(see screenshot)
Once copied, go to gplus.to and enter your desired username and paste your copied profile URL then click Add.
Copy and save your new Gplus profile URL.
Also you can try other similar sites like→
gplus.cm
gplus.is
ongpl.us
This is definitely a lot easier than the older long ID. Have you claimed your username yet?

Yes, the default profile URL is long and is not easy to remember, so this would be really helpful. Thanks Vivek for this useful post 🙂
